Freedive Relax

Find the quiet below.

A freediving school in Barcelona. We teach you to drop underwater on a single breath — calm, in control, no scuba tank and no lungs of steel required. One day in, you'll surprise yourself with how far a quiet mind can take you.

AIDA 1 starts at €120 · All equipment included · First cohort: 15% early-bird

Why freedive

More than a breath-hold.

People come for the depth. They stay for what it does to the rest of their life.

Calm

One breath underwater drops you into deep calm. A real reset for daily stress.

Focus

Impulse control and a steady mind under pressure. It carries back to dry land.

Confidence

Comfort and safety in the water, so you can quietly push your limits.

Fitness

Breath, mobility, lung capacity. Low-impact, and easy on the joints.

The ocean, unlocked

Better snorkelling, spearfishing, scuba and surfing — every water activity.

Belonging

Laughter on the boat, dinner under the stars. You leave with a community.

How it works · the pathway in

From the city.
To the sea.

Never held your breath underwater? Perfect. Three steps — land, pool, then the open sea. Nothing is ever a leap.

No water

Dry Masterclass

Dry land first: breathing, mastering equalization techniques, and your first breath-hold. Most people shock themselves at how long they can go.

Pool sessions

Pool Freedive

Then the pool — shallow, calm, fully guided. Until one breath underwater feels completely natural.

Open water

Into the Deep

Then the sea — a buoy, a line, everything you've trained. Arrive ready, and depth is the easy part.

a superpower.

It's the Mammalian Dive Reflex — every human is born with it. Underwater, your heart slows and a hidden oxygen reserve kicks in. You don't build it. You learn to unlock it.

The gateway into freediving — and into a different relationship with your own mind. Designed for complete beginners. No swimming ability requirements beyond basic comfort in water. By the end of this day, you will hold your breath longer than you believed possible — not because we taught you a trick, but because we showed you what was always there.

1 full day — theory and pool
Small group — personal attention throughout
Indoor pool, Barcelona
AIDA 1 certificate included
All equipment provided
English and Spanish instruction

What you learn

  • The Mammalian Dive Response — your biology's built-in reset
  • Breathwork and pre-dive relaxation protocol
  • Safe static apnea in the pool
  • Buddy system and safety fundamentals
  • Why the mind is the limit — and how to change that

Your first full certification. Your first time in the Mediterranean. Your first time watching the surface disappear above you and discovering that the silence below is not frightening — it's the quietest your mind has ever been. AIDA 2 is where the identity shift happens. You become a freediver.

2.5 days — pool and open water
Maximum 6 students
Mediterranean open water dives
AIDA 2 certificate — 20m depth

What you learn

  • Static and dynamic apnea pool disciplines
  • Constant weight freediving to 20m
  • Equalization technique and freefall
  • Rescue breathing and buddy procedures
  • The mental game at depth — first contact

This is where the mental game becomes the dominant variable. As you push toward 30m and feel true freefall for the first time, technique is solid and equipment works — but the mind still wants to interrupt. AIDA 3 is where the Freediving Brain methodology delivers its most visible results. Students don't just reach depth. They reach it with calm.

3 days — intensive
Maximum 4 students
20–30m depth · first freefall
AIDA 3 certificate

What you learn

  • CO₂ & O₂ tables · static 2:45 & dynamic 55m
  • Constant weight to 20–30m with freefall
  • Mouthfill equalization introduction
  • Complete Freediving Brain mental protocol system
  • Nervous system regulation at depth

Elite level. Small cohort. Deeply personal. At AIDA 4, every dive is a conversation between your nervous system and the ocean. You master mouthfill equalization, FRC dives, and lung packing — the technical apex of recreational freediving. The prerequisites are real: AIDA 3 and a valid EFR certification. Not everyone arrives here. Those who do leave changed.

4 days — intensive personal coaching
Maximum 3 students
38m depth · 3:30 static · 75m dynamic
AIDA 4 certificate

What you learn

  • Full mouthfill equalization mastery
  • FRC dives and lung packing techniques
  • Deep rescue and emergency protocols
  • Decompression and narcosis awareness
  • Personalised depth and performance coaching

Taught personally by Shebl, AIDA Instructor Trainer. The Instructor Course assesses rather than trains — you arrive already meeting the performance standards, and we shape you into a teacher: the mental methodology, the nervous-system protocols, and the philosophy that changes how students relate to depth. It begins with a mandatory pre-course assessment and runs 10 to 21 days. Maximum three candidates. This is not a production line. It is a transmission.

10–21 days — flexible, assessment-based
Maximum 3 candidates
AIDA Instructor certification
Internationally recognised

What you gain

  • Full AIDA Instructor certification
  • Freediving Brain mental performance methodology
  • Student management, safety, and rescue mastery
  • Teaching rights for AIDA 1, 2 & 3 + all student manuals (PDF)
  • First right of refusal — Freediving Brain instructor team

Shebl.
"Freediving isn't about fighting the water — it's about retraining your mind to find peace
where the world tells you to panic."

The depth is just a mirror for how calm you can keep your inner world.

I didn't start as a freediver — four years in marketing before the Red Sea changed everything. My first course in Dahab made it clear: this isn't a sport, it's a way to understand the mind.

I became an instructor, then an Instructor Trainer — I don't just teach freediving, I teach instructors how to teach it. That goes into every course.

My technical specialisation is CNF — Constant Weight No Fins — and Static Apnea. The purest forms of freediving: no equipment, no propulsion, no shortcuts. Just the body, the mind, and the water. They taught me that depth is always a mental event first.

Now I'm bringing Freediving Brain from Dahab to Barcelona for mid-2026. The first courses will fill before we open — reserve early.
